Software Developer
Candidates are software engineers with strong programming skills who show curiosity, continuous learning and adaptability. Ideal candidates have a background in full lifecycle development using modern agile methods. Practical experience with object-oriented languages like Java, designing and developing REST web services, proficiency with Unix and familiarity with Git are required.
Experience with machine learning and AI, streaming technologies like Apache Spark, access management products and directory services, and virtualization and cloud orchestration including Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Our products are built to very high standards of quality and reliability, and you will help create best-in-class products that make the online world safer.
Responsibilities
- Work across all areas of development: requirements analysis, high and low-level design, coding, documentation, testing and validation.
- Take part in machine learning research and product development focused on online risk mitigation and fraud detection.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team on a CI/CD pipeline that greatly reduces integration, deployment and testing time.
- Work with multidisciplinary product teams to identify functional and performance improvements.
Preferred qualifications
- Flexible, results-oriented problem solver who needs minimal supervision and enjoys variety.
- Hands-on full lifecycle development of Java systems using REST services.
- Cloud deployments with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks (Spark MLlib, TensorFlow, Caffe or MXNet) and neural network fundamentals.
- Willingness to learn streaming technologies such as Apache Spark or Storm.
- Agile development and Git or JIRA experience is a plus.
- Clear communication with development, operations, testing and management.
